DocketBuddy Public Guides
Terms of Use
Last updated: August 13, 2026
These terms apply to DocketBuddy’s public guides and tools at guides.docketbuddy.org. DocketBuddy is operated by Buddy Labs LLC, doing business as DocketBuddy. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Public information and tools
DocketBuddy provides general public information, source-linked comparisons, and self-help tools. DocketBuddy is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent you.
Using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship. A licensed attorney can evaluate how the law applies to your circumstances.
Tool results
Interactive results describe published information in relation to the selections you make. They are not determinations of eligibility, predictions of an outcome, or recommendations about what you should do.
Laws, procedures, source data, and filing requirements can change. Confirm important information with the relevant court or agency and seek licensed help when appropriate, particularly for deadlines or decisions affecting legal rights.
Finding licensed help
DocketBuddy currently provides links to independent lawyer-finding and legal-aid resources. It does not operate a public attorney directory, select an attorney for you, or endorse attorneys listed by third parties.
If you request local coverage notifications, DocketBuddy will use the information as described in the Public Guides Privacy Policy. The request is not a legal intake or referral and is not sent to an attorney.
Cost and future referral arrangements
There is no fee to read the public guides or use the public tools, and you do not need to request an attorney to keep using them.
DocketBuddy does not currently earn referral fees from Public Guides visitors. If DocketBuddy later receives payment for an attorney introduction, the payment relationship will be disclosed before you choose the introduction. The public guides and tools will remain available without that choice.
Permitted use
You may use the site for lawful personal, educational, and informational purposes. You may not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit false or abusive requests, scrape the service in a way that burdens it, or use its content to mislead another person.
Third-party resources
The site links to courts, agencies, bar organizations, legal-aid services, and independent directories. Those organizations control their own content and services. A link does not mean DocketBuddy endorses or guarantees the organization, listing, or information.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep the public information useful and current, but provide the site on an “as available” basis and cannot promise that every item is complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, DocketBuddy is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the Public Guides site.
Changes and governing law
We may update the site or these terms. The revised date above identifies the current version. These terms are governed by Georgia law, without overriding consumer protections that apply where you live.
